Day 42 – FutureDrive

11 Feb – A very future-centric day! It was a day spent looking at the future – future of transport with future engineers and probable future engineering students!

I spent the day at Stanford on a Techbridge initiative to drive more girls to technology. The agenda for the day was to spend time with a bunch of middle school girls, see a solar car and build one! Answered a lot of questions about what engineering education means and jobs and getting into engineering colleges.

I probably learnt a lot more that I expected!

Picture: On the LHS is the solar racing car Stanford students built and took to the Solar car rally in Australia. RHS is the solar car model we (my student and I)  built!
